Bank Operations Officer

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bank, including the processing of transactions, maintenance of records, and assisting with compliance with banking regulations on the daily operations of the business.

Reports To: Compliance Officer

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison between the front line and back-office operations of the bank
  • Oversee the daily activities of the business operations to ensure that all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all operational procedures are followed and that compliance with regulatory requirements is maintained.
  • Prepare any relevant operational reports on the department’s activity and submit them to the Supervisor.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Train new employees in the operation of the department.
    Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
  • To assist in investigations and resolve any discrepancies that may arise.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations.
  • Any other related duties in regards to the business daily operational activities.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma in business studies, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a bank operations role.
  • Working knowledge of banking compliance regulations and AML-CFT.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
